Established as a reliable, engaging HR innovator, strategist, and practitioner who has thrived in the past decade helping others help themselves grow and prosper. After successfully leading HR Operations for 7 years at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, a top-ranked pediatric healthcare provider, Karen accepted in 2019 an offer to transition from client to provider of a global background and identity services organization, Sterling. While there, Karen drove critical employee experience and development improvements for People & Culture and directed client and candidate support optimization. Karen returned to the non-profit sector in 2020 to optimize organization development at KenCrest, where she now leads talent acquisition and development strategy as well as support for over 2000 employees; KenCrest provides educational services to children and families as well as community-based support services to people with disabilities in PA, DE, and CT.

Additional career highlights include speaking and working with diverse audiences on talent strategy and growth capability; Karen has structured standards, communication, and measurement to achieve and share proven ROI. Karen was awarded Talent Acquisition Leader of the Year in Healthcare by HRO Today in 2018 for driving talent strategy changes as well as recognized as HR Superstar by HRO Today (2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021) for innovation impact, performance improvement, thought leadership, and industry contribution. Karen helped launch and chaired the T.A.L.E.N.T. network for HRO Today (2018-2019) and has contributed to their Member Services and educational initiatives. A champion of arts accessibility and development, Karen served a decade through 2013 as Art-Reach Board Co-Chair. While working in financial services through 2008, Karen spearheaded an acclaimed Training Top 125 succession planning program. As an independent consultant since 2001, Karen regularly has helped individuals and organizations with talent-related needs and decisions.
