The Human Resources department is involved in and affects the operation and execution of all the other business functions. Therefore, properly aligning the HR strategy with the organisation’s business strategy is critical to achieving the organisation’s mission. Few departments have a better view of the entire organization than human resources. HR professionals can see both why a strategy exists and how it’s developed and implemented. Yet, too often, HR departments don’t have a seat at the strategy table.
